Autocom security gateway
Today's vehicles contain a large amount of electronic data and this information must be protected against possible cyber attacks and hacking. Illegal intrusion into the safety system of a vehicle can cause malfunctions and affect safety functions. In the worst case, it can lead to fatal accidents on the road.
Several vehicle manufacturers have started to protect their vehicles with diagnostic security gateways (SGW) and firewalls to prevent unauthorised access.
The number of manufacturers using the SGW will increase enormously.
Autocom Security Gateway gives access to locked vehicles
To perform diagnostics on SGW-locked vehicles, you need a diagnostic device from an approved and OEM-certified supplier. Autocom has both approval and certification.
By using the ICON, you can easily clear fault codes, control or set components and perform functions such as service reset on SGW-locked vehicles.
In the first edition of SGW, Autocom has been approved and certified by Mercedes-Benz and the Fiat Group (FCA). Other brands will be added to the software, such as all relevant vehicles from VAG and Renault.
The number of accessible SGW-locked vehicles will be continuously increased. Therefore, it is important to keep the licence active.
